Weight-loss medication, prescribed and monitored by your doctor's office
GLP-1 and other FDA-approved medications when they are right for you, with prior authorization handled and a physician watching your progress.
How we decide
Medication is prescribed after a consult that reviews your history, labs, other medications and goals. Dr. Palagiri is board certified in Obesity Medicine; the decision is medical, not a sales step.
- Only FDA-approved medications, no compounded products
- Prior authorization submitted the same day
- Slow dose increases to limit side effects
- Monthly visits, in person or by video
- Taper plan when you reach goal
Cost, plainly
Visits are medical visits billed to your insurance. Medication cost depends on your plan: use the checker below, and we confirm your exact benefit before you start.
| Consult (30 min), self-pay | $195 |
| Follow-up visit, self-pay | $125 |
| Program fee (optional) | $99/month |
Monthly provider visit, nutrition plan with our dietitian, body-composition scans, messaging between visits. Medication cost is separate and depends on the option chosen.
Does my plan cover weight-loss medication?
We verify your exact benefits before your first visit. Coverage answers describe plans in general, not your personal benefits.
Common questions
Which medications do you prescribe?
FDA-approved anti-obesity medications, including GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 injectables and oral options, chosen for your history, other conditions and coverage. We do not sell compounded products.
How much does the medication cost?
With coverage and prior authorization, usually a specialty copay. Without coverage, manufacturer programs and lower-cost options exist; we walk you through them at the consult.
What are the side effects?
Nausea, constipation and reflux are common early and usually fade with slow dose increases. We check in monthly and adjust. Some conditions rule certain medications out, which is why the consult comes first.
Do I have to stay on it forever?
Not necessarily. Many patients taper after reaching goal with a Maintenance plan in place. Some do better staying on a low dose. We decide together, based on your results.
